Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an experienced inpatient coder for a 100% remote role with weekend coverage, focusing on transforming healthcare. You will review DRG assignments, analyze physician documentation for coding accuracy, and provide guidance to coders and CDI specialists.

The role requires a CCS credential, an associate degree or equivalent, and 5+ years of inpatient coding experience, with strong ICD-10/DRG knowledge and data reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent with 5+ years inpatient coding experience.
• Certified Coding Specialist with 2+ years quality audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, DRG, and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Monitors compliance with clinical documentation to support coding and billing regulations.
• Reviews DRG assignments and quality indicators for Medicare/Medicaid inpatients.
