Iowa Specialty Hospital in Belmond is seeking a Coding Educator/Auditor to ensure high-quality clinical documentation and compliant coding across the organization. You will audit ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding for inpatient and outpatient encounters, deliver ongoing coder education, and partner with the HIM Leader to strengthen denials prevention and revenue cycle performance.
This full-time role offers flexible daytime hours with a remote option and a benefits package including IPERS,
Monday-Friday 8:00am –4:30 pm with opportunity to work flexible daytime hours remotely, may also consider alternative schedule if desirable (e.g. 4/10 work shifts)

Responsible for auditing coding accuracy and documentation quality across the organization.
This role provides ongoing education to coders and partners with the HIM Leader to develop and deliver provider education that supports accurate clinical documentation, compliant coding, and optimal revenue cycle performance.
Must have a minimum of 3 years coding experience and be proficient in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding for inpatient and outpatient hospital encounters and multispecialty clinics.
Position requires AAPC or AHIMA coding credential or equivalent.
