Job summary

Bryan Steam is seeking an experienced Welder to join our Peru, IN facility. You will fabricate and assemble metal components for multiple projects, following blueprints and welding specs in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate can read blueprints and welding symbols, has strong mechanical aptitude, and adheres to safety procedures. This is a full-time, weekday position with union hourly pay and requires providing your own hand tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with welding tools, materials, and safety procedures.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to visualize and work with parts in different configurations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG Welding Bracing according to project specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding processes.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal parts with precision.
  • Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet standards.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust machines to maintain production.
  • Follow all safety and manufacturing protocols.
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Must provide own hand tools per Labor Contract.

As a Welder at Bryan Steam, you’ll play a key role in fabricating and assembling metal components for a variety of manufacturing projects. We're looking for detail-oriented, safety-minded individuals who are passionate about their craft and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This is a full-time, Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, union-hourly position located in Peru, IN.

Essential duties and responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned :
