Successful completion of state-mandated Core and Property Maintenance Training Modules and certification as a Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector; successful completion of the four (4) modules (Building, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing) that are required for certification as a One- and Two-Family Combination Inspector or Residential Combination Inspector. Must have, or obtain, a current and valid Virginia or North Carolina drivers license in accordance with Virginia or North Carolina DMV drivers license eligibility requirements. Special Requirements: All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. This level requires successful completion of the four (4) modules (Building, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing) that are required for certification as a One- and Two-Family Combination Inspector or Residential Combination Inspector; but does not require certification as a One- and Two-Family Combination Inspector or Residential Combination Inspector.
