Job summary

Collier County is seeking a Code Enforcement Supervisor to oversee investigators, manage case workloads, and ensure compliance with local ordinances. You will mentor staff, develop procedures, and review daily activities to maintain quality enforcement operations.

Requirements include an Associate degree and five years of related experience, with fingerprinting required. The role is based in Naples, FL and involves coordinating training and certification processes for investigators.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.
• Oversees and coordinates Division investigators performing code enforcement activities; reviews and approves timesheets and leave time; schedules, delegates, and directs special assignments; and observes/mentor new employees.
• Review case management: monitors daily activities, assigned cases, performance of duties, and quality of cases handled; organizes and reassigns cases as necessary; and reviews daily activity log and worksheet of assigned personnel.
• Develops, interprets, and/or implements standard operating procedures, policies, and training programs; assists with improving divisional operations; and provides leadership to enhance assigned employees’ professional development.
