Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Florida is seeking a code compliance project manager to oversee inspection projects affecting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, fire and life safety systems. You will be trained to take a leading role in project management and supervise qualified inspection personnel.

You will review field inspection reports and prepare county/city documentation, while contributing to marketing and business development.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing code compliance inspection projects.
• Supervision of inspection personnel is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to develop client relationships and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Manage code compliance inspection projects including inspection of building components across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, fire and life safety areas.
• Lead project management with guidance from senior personnel.
• Manage clients and supervise code inspection personnel.
• Review field inspection reports and prepare county/city documentation.
• Support marketing and business development with regular client contacts.
• Prepare proposals and invoicing; manage project progress with respect to budget and collections.

• In this position, you will be primarily involved with management of code compliance inspection projects, which includes the inspection of building components such as Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Architectural, Fire and Life Safety items.
• You will be trained by more senior personnel to take a leading role in project management.
• You will manage clients/projects and will supervise code inspection personnel.
• You will review field inspection reports, and prepare of county/city required documentation related to inspection.
• Additional responsibilities include marketing and business development with a focus on maintaining regular client contacts.
• Project management responsibilities also include preparation of proposals and invoicing, management of project progress with respect to budget, and collection efforts.
• High school diploma or GED
• 0-2 years of related experience
• Code compliance certifications are a plus but not required. You will be expected to obtain multiple code compliance certifications in this role.
• If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required.
