Job summary

ECS Florida, LLC, Fort Myers, FL, is seeking a motivated project manager to lead code compliance inspection projects across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, and life safety disciplines in the Fort Myers area. You will work with senior staff to take a leading role in project management, supervise inspectors, review field reports, and prepare documentation for county and city authorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 0-2 years of related experience in code compliance or inspection advantageous.
• Code compliance certifications are a plus but not required; candidate should expect to obtain multiple certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of code compliance inspection projects across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, and life-safety disciplines.
• Take a lead role in project management with mentorship from senior personnel.
• Supervise code inspection personnel and manage client projects.
• Review field inspection reports and prepare county/city documentation.
• Support marketing and business development with regular client contact.
• Prepare proposals, manage invoicing, track project progress, and oversee budget and collections.

Responsibilities

• In this position, you will be primarily involved with management of code compliance inspection projects, which includes the inspection of building components such as Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Architectural, Fire and Life Safety items.


• You will be trained by more senior personnel to take a leading role in project management.


• You will manage clients/projects and will supervise code inspection personnel.


• You will review field inspection reports, and prepare of county/city required documentation related to inspection.


• Additional responsibilities include marketing and business development with a focus on maintaining regular client contacts.


• Project management responsibilities also include preparation of proposals and invoicing, management of project progress with respect to budget, and collection efforts.

• Code compliance certifications are a plus but not required. You will be expected to obtain multiple code compliance certifications in this role.


• If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.
