Job summary

Gulfshoresal is seeking a Code Enforcement Officer to support the city's enforcement of land use, development, and sanitation codes. The role involves inspecting premises, educating violators, and issuing notices of violations as needed.

You will handle complaints, maintain case records, and may testify in Municipal Court. The position may require evenings or weekends, with occasional fieldwork and independent work under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certified Code Enforcement Officer (or able to obtain within 18 months).
• Valid Texas Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Protect public safety by enforcing health, safety, nuisance, traffic, and zoning ordinances; inspect and investigate premises for compliance.
• Receive and respond to complaints and reports; conduct investigations and provide resolutions.
• Maintain accurate records of violations, investigations, inspections and enforcement actions.
