Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of relevant experience in code enforcement or familiarity with building codes, or equivalent education/training.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Prepares Letters, Notice of Violation/Summons and sets hearing and compliance dates.
• Conducts site inspections, verifies validity of complaint, opens cases and refers items to other agencies.
• Interprets County codes and determines/helps meet permit and other requirements.
• Monitors cases, informs complainants, and works with owners to resolve violations and achieve compliance.
• Prepares documentation for cases to go before Hearing Officer.
