Code Enforcement Specialist (Short Term Rentals) – Community Development – $47,176 - $58,970
Payson, AZ – Full Time
The purpose of this position is to enforce the Gila County Short Term Rental Ordinance and other Ordinances using the Gila County Hearing Officer Rule of Procedure. The role investigates potentially unregistered short-term rental properties and other complaints, verifies ownership using recorded property deeds, drafts legal documents for service of process, presents evidence at a hearing to the Gila County Hearing Officer, and monitors the status of a high volume of cases. This position may also conduct on-site inspections and prepare inspection reports. Customer service duties are also an integral part of the role.
High School Diploma or GED.
Two (2) years of relevant experience in code enforcement or familiarity with building codes; or equivalent education, training, and experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
