Responsibilities

• Abates violations as allowed by ordinances, inspects properties, notifies owners, re-inspects for corrections.
• Issues citations and prepares case packages; testifies as necessary as a witness for the City for citations issued.
• Responds to violations by investigating complaints, patrolling the city, determining the violation, inspecting properties and construction, consulting with complainants, issuing citations, and following up on violations.
• Maintains records and prepares reports, and organizes information for public hearings.
