Job summary

Qualifications

• Educate, enforce, read, and interpret City ordinances, state, and federal law.
• Work with the public in a diplomatic manner and document evidence of violations.
• Obtain license as a Certified Code Enforcement Officer within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assigned areas to enforce zoning and code provisions and identify violations.
• Document violations and follow procedures to earn compliance.
• Prepare reports and enter data on inspection activities as required.
• Coordinate activities with office and clerical staff for workflow.
• Conduct follow-up inspections and testify as needed.
