Job summary

Engineering Consulting Service (ECS) is seeking a Code Compliance Project Manager to join our Mid-Atlantic Building Science + Infrastructure team in Frederick, MD. The role involves leading code compliance inspections, plan reviews, and project management activities, with opportunities to mentor inspectors and contribute to business development.

The successful candidate will hold a Maryland Master Electrician license and an ICC certification (B2, M2, P2 or E2) or be able to obtain it within six

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in code compliance inspection of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems and/or plan review or 5 years in the construction industry.
• If driving for ECS, a valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to obtain ICC certification within 6 months if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Manage code compliance projects including reviewing plans, providing technical support, conducting inspections, monitoring progress and budget.
• Mentor and train other building inspectors.
• Assist with management of P&L, marketing, client interactions, and business development related to code inspections.
