You will investigate violations, maintain case records, and coordinate with the Municipal Court and legal counsel to prosecute cases. The position involves court appearances and collaboration with state and local agencies to address health violations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with the public, verbally and in writing.
• Read and apply ordinances, policies and procedures.
• Organize caseloads and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient data entry and case tracking.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the City to identify code violations and engage property owners.
• Investigate and follow up on violations observed or reported by others.
• Conduct thorough investigations and maintain complete case records.
• Coordinate with Court Clerk to file complaints and prepare cases for prosecution.
• Attend court proceedings as scheduled or requested.
• Collaborate with state, county and local agencies on health violations.
• Attend City Council meetings as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
