Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of college or technical school in related fields.
• Three years of public-facing work experience in code enforcement or related areas.
• Certification as an AACE Code Enforcement Officer within a year.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other departments to address complex code enforcement situations.
• Inspect premises and enforce city requirements for licenses and abatements.
• Gather evidence for enforcement actions including site visits and documentation.
• Inform owners of legal processes and options to resolve violations.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain case records for litigation.
