Job summary

Calgon Carbon Corporation, a Kuraray Company, seeks a Welder II for our Bloomfield, NM facility. This full-time role requires welding piping and vessels to CCC/ASME codes, with work from drawings and adherence to safety policies. Shift is 7:00–3:30, Monday–Friday, with potential for added shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (Welding concentration preferred).
• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
• 2-3 years of welding experience required.
• ASME code welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Back-gouge using carbon-air-arc or plasma for full penetration welds.
• Clean and polish welds to company design specifications.
• Pass nondestructive testing of pressure retaining welds on pipe and vessels.
• Read drawings/sketches to determine weld size, location and process.
• Inspect own work for conformance to drawings and procedures, repair as needed.
• Assist with incoming parts inspection and final product inspection; complete documentation.
• Operate forklift, jib cranes, and overhead crane.
• Assist in other areas of the plant as assigned.
• Comply with company policy.
