Job summary

Performance Food Group’s manufacturing arm seeks a production worker to assist in candy and related product packaging, processing, and warehousing tasks. You’ll follow safety, GMP, and quality standards while keeping production flowing efficiently and supporting the team across shifts.

The role involves assembling, labeling, stocking, cleaning, and paperwork duties, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • 6 months - 1 year experience on a production line in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
  • Preferred: 1-3 years experience on a production line in food processing/food production with vertical form-filled bagging equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Package candy and nuts into sellable bag configurations. Prepare, process, and package product.
  • May perform various duties including packaging, stocking, rotation, cleaning, sanitation and/or stacking.
  • Review production schedule, perform safety checks on equipment and obtain supplies to perform work.
  • Secure all equipment, complete cleaning duties, and document required paperwork including HACCP, SQF as assigned.
  • Assemble, label, seal boxes and palletize for shipping as assigned.
  • Inspect and rotate stock items and manage inventory of candy/nuts as needed.
  • Follow GMP and safety practices per company policy.
  • Clean equipment daily.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Assists in the rebagging production facility where candy and related products are prepared, processed, packaged, stored and/or shipped. Primary duties include preparing and processing all kinds of packaged goods based on customer orders and specifications. Responsible for following all safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards as required per company policy. Maintains an efficient flow of product through the production process. Work schedules may vary based on type of product work assignments. The position functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Package candy and nuts into sellable bag configurations. Responsible for preparation, processing, and packaging of product.
  • May be assigned a variety of work duties including, but not limited to, packaging candy/nuts/trail mixes, stocking product, product rotation, cleaning, sanitation and/or product stacking.
  • Reviews production schedule, performs safety checks on equipment and obtains supplies required to perform work. Prepares work area to ensure efficient operations
  • Before, during and after assigned work shifts, secures all equipment, completes all cleaning duties and completes all required paperwork including HACCP, SQF as assigned.
  • Assembles boxes, packs, labels and seals boxes. Stacks full boxes on pallets for shipping as assigned.
  • Opens product cases, removes contents and rotates dated stock items as directed. Inspects and maintains candy/nuts inventory as needed.
  • Follows all safety practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) per company policy
  • Cleaning equipment daily
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diplomas/GED or Equivalent Experience
  • 6 months - 1 year experience work on a production line in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
Preferred qualifications:
  • 1 - 3 years experience work on a production line specific to food processing/food production experience with vertical form-filled bagging equipment
