Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an entry-level to mid-level production associate at our Wisconsin facility. You will set-up and maintain line equipment, monitor the process, and assist production staff to ensure GMP and quality standards are met while keeping the flow efficient.

You’ll participate in safety training, perform basic quality checks, and help with housekeeping, downtime reporting, and paperwork at shift end.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 1 - 2 years warehouse and / or production work experience.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and maintain line equipment, monitor the process, direct, facilitate and assist production line personnel with the preparation and packaging products observing GMP and quality standards.
• Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork verify ingredients / supplies / packaging and prepare for operations.
• Set-up / assemble line equipment, perform metal detector checks and start up the line, monitor the process and complete quality checks.
• Relieve production personnel for breaks, assist line personnel, and complete downtime/quality reports.

Job Description

Set-up and maintain line equipment, monitor the process, direct, facilitate and assist production line personnel with the preparation and packaging products observing all safety regulations and ensuring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Coordinate Production personnel work for immediate area. Assist in Production personnel training. Relieve Production personnel for breaks. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork verify ingredients / supplies / packaging and prepare for operations. Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.

Coordinate Production personnel work for area. Assist in Production personnel training. Relieve Production personnel for breaks.

Set-up / assemble line equipment in accordance with the work order, perform metal detector checks and start up the line. Monitor the process, complete quality checks, change label rolls, check packaging and finished cases as required.

Troubleshoot problems make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment change harp assembles and blades as needed.

Facilitate production, maintain the scale area, assist with line supply and assist line personnel (un-box / reduction / palletize).

Relieve line personnel for breaks and remove trash and dunnage and clean spills as required.

At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork. Complete reports (downtime, production, lot numbers, quality checks) and assist Maintenance personnel with repairs and as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience. 1 - 2 years warehouse and / or production work experience.

Preferred qualifications

2 - 4 years warehouse and / or production work experience; team lead experience. Preferred Professional Certification(s): OSHA Forklift operator certificate.
