Job summary

Cheney Brothers in Greensboro, NC is hiring for a production/warehouse role responsible for setting up and maintaining line equipment, monitoring processes, and assisting production staff to ensure GMP, safety, and quality standards are met.

You will work Sunday to Thursday starting at 7am, verify ingredients and supplies, coordinate with Production Planner for materials, wear PPE, run line startup, perform quality checks, and help with packaging and housekeeping.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months to 1 year in warehouse or production preferred.
  • Forklift certification or willing to obtain is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork; verify ingredients, supplies, and packaging for operations.
  • Coordinate with Production Planner to select raw materials for daily production needs.
  • Wear required PPE and safety gear.
  • Set up/assemble line equipment and perform line startup with metal detector checks.
  • Monitor the process; conduct quality checks; change label rolls and packaging as needed.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform minor repairs as required.
  • Assist with line supply, un-boxing, reduction, and palletizing tasks.
  • At end of shift, secure equipment and complete required paperwork.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Position Summary:

Set-up and maintain line equipment, monitor the process, direct, facilitate and assist production line personnel with the preparation and packaging products ensuring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety and quality standards are met and maintain the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork verify ingredients / supplies / packaging and prepare for operations.
  • Work closely with the Production Planner to select the appropriate raw materials for daily production requirements.
  • Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
  • Set-up / assemble line equipment in accordance with the work order, perform metal detector checks and start up the line.
  • Monitor the process, complete quality checks, change label rolls, check packaging and finished cases as required.
  • Troubleshoot problems make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment change, harp assembles and blades, as needed.
  • Facilitate production, maintain the scale area, assist with line supply and assist line personnel (un-box /reduction / palletize).
  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Schedule:

Sunday to Thursday 7am until finish.

Qualifications:

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Work Experience:

  • 6 Months - 1 Year

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in warehouse and / or production environment.
Preferred qualifications:

Work Experience:

  • 1 - 3 Years

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Forklift Certification
