Job summary

Rally’s Corner Bar in Baltimore, MD is hiring a Cocktail Server to greet guests, take orders, and deliver cocktails with energy and professionalism. The role requires knowledge of menu items, strong cash handling, and the ability to work with the bar and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service.

You will upsell, monitor alcohol service, check IDs, and perform daily side work. Fluent English, reliable attendance, and basic math skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of serving in a fast-paced venue, preferably nightclub.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.
• Courteous, pleasant, and good-natured.
• Communication with guests, staff, and supervisors is essential.
• Alcohol awareness certification or health/food handler card as required by local/state rules.
• Reading and writing abilities used when taking orders and paperwork.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and credit.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Rally’s Corner Bar is coming soon to Power Plant Live!, offering a high-energy entertainment destination featuring live music, DJs, karaoke, sporting events, and themed events. The venue will include multiple bars, TVs, projection screens, a dedicated live music stage, and a large outdoor patio, creating an exciting environment for both guests and team members.

Cocktail Server Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professionalmanner.
• Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests; up-sell when taking orders.
• Must be willing and able to show that you are energetic, outgoing, fun person while maintaining professionalism at all times.Must be willingto provide outstanding and professional service with a smile to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Must be able tocommunicate effectivelyand clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff both verbally andutilizing the point of sales system.
• Communicate withguests clearly, patiently and with good humor.
• Must be well-versed inallconcept products andmenu itemsin order to guide the guest experience and sell food and beverage items.
• Consistentlychecks guests' identification to ensure they meet the minimum age requirements for consumption of alcohol beverages.
• Monitor guest behavior and amount of alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guests should cease; notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of guests.
• Must be able to complete all side work assigned.
• Accurately account for all sales and payments from the guest.
• AlertManagement of any service and/or safety issues.Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to establishedguidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
• Promoteteamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordinationwith other departments.
• Coordinatewith bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages.

Cocktail Server Qualifications

• At least 1 year of serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment. Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred.
• Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred.
• Must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured.
• Communication skills are utilized asignificant amount of time when interacting with guests, bartender, waitstaff, cooks, and supervisors.
• Alcoholawareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
• Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
• Basic math skills are frequently used when handling cash and credit.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

The Cocktail Server position requires the ability to perform the following:

• Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds (bar ware, carts,boxes, bottles, etc.).
• Must be able to efficiently and safely stand andmoveabout theentire facility during each shift.
