Job summary

Rally’s Corner Bar at Power Plant Live! seeks an energetic bartender to join a high-energy, entertainment-focused venue. You will mix cocktails, serve wine and beer, and take orders from guests and staff, ensuring precise cash handling and friendly service.

A strong product knowledge base will help upsell items and enhance the guest experience. Requirements include 1–2 years in a fast-paced bar or nightclub, fluent English, and applicable alcohol/service certifications.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience bartending at high-volume bars/nightclubs.
• Fluent English; other languages preferred.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food handler card as required by local/state rules.
• Reading and writing abilities used for orders and paperwork.
• May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Mix ingredients and prepare cocktails and other drinks according to recipes.
• Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer.
• Take beverage orders from staff or guests and record them accurately.
• Ensure proper cash handling and tip recording per policy.
• Check IDs to confirm legal drinking age and present promotions to guests.
• Maintain knowledge of products to enhance guest experience and upsell food/bev.
• Complete all side work as assigned.

Rally’s Corner Bar is coming soon to Power Plant Live!, offering a high-energy entertainment destination featuring live music, DJs, karaoke, sporting events, and themed events. The venue will include multiple bars, TVs, projection screens, a dedicated live music stage, and a large outdoor patio, creating an exciting environment for both guests and team members.

Bartender Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide an energetic, outgoing, fun personality while maintaining professionalism.
• Perform varied duties to ensure all aspects of the proper steps of service.
• Offer polite, professional, and courteous customer service.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and guests.
• Mix ingredients and prepare cocktails and other drinks according to drink recipe.
• Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer.
• Take beverage orders from serving staff or from guests.
• Communicate effectively, clearly, patiently and humorously with co-workers and guests.
• Complete all side work as assigned.
• Be well-versed in the products in order to guide the guest experience and sell food and beverage items.
• Check guests’ identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption.
• Present and encourage current promotions to guests.
• Accurately record and account for all items ordered and secure payment from guest.
• Accurately account for all sales and receipts and record tips as outlined in company policies and procedures.

Bartender Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years experience with bartending at high volume bars and/or nightclubs.
• Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments.
• Formal bartending training preferred.
• Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred.
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, cooks, wait staff, and supervisors.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
• Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
• Mathematical skills, including basic math are used frequently.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

The Bartender position requires the ability to perform the following:

• Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds (bar ware, boxes, bottles, ect.).
• Moving about the bar, lounge, and kitchen efficiently and safely.
• Handling food, objects, products and utensils effectively and safely.
