Job summary

Maverickelko is seeking a service-oriented team member for bar/ beverage service at our Colorado properties (Central City and Black Hawk). You will take orders, prepare drinks, follow recipes, and ensure compliance with alcohol laws, while maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

The role offers a $16.27+ per hour base with tips, flexible schedules, health benefits after 60 days, and opportunities for career development and tuition reimbursement. Weekend/evening shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Six months experience as a server preferred.
• Prior money handling experience preferred.
• Ability and willingness to work at both the Central City and Black Hawk properties.
• Must be flexible to work any schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• TIPS Certification – We will train you!

Responsibilities

• Set up bar for shift, clean and stock.
• Take beverage orders and ring in drinks.
• Follow standard drink recipes and proper glassware.
• Do not serve intoxicated guests.
• Balance cash at shift end and cash out.
• Keep bar and work areas clean.
• Upsell food and beverages to patrons.
• Prepare requisitions and inventories at end of shift.
• Lock up products when necessary.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure the bars are set up for the shift, cleaned and stocked.
• Takes beverage orders from the customers and servers and ensures all drinks are rung in before any are prepared.
• Follows the standard drink recipes, using the proper glassware and portions.
• Adheres to all the laws pertaining to the serving of alcoholic beverages and dealing with guests.
• Intoxicated persons must never be served.
• Balances cash at the end of their shift and follow the standard procedure for cashing out.
• Keeps bar, counters, and work areas clean always.
• Upsells food and beverage to patrons.
• Prepares requisitions and inventories as required at the end of the shift.
• Locks up product when necessary.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have previous serving experience and knowledge that includes:

• High School education or equivalent experience
