Job summary

Maverick Gaming is hiring a bar/server staff member in Colorado. You will handle beverage orders, follow recipes, and ensure proper service while maintaining compliance with alcohol laws. You’ll balance cash, keep areas clean, and upsell items to guests.

Ideal candidates have some serving experience, HS diploma, and flexibility for weekends/evenings. Training for TIPS certification is provided; benefits and career opportunities may apply.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent (required).
• Six months serving experience preferred.
• Must be able to work at Central City and Black Hawk properties.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• TIPS Certification – training provided.

Responsibilities

• Set up bars for shifts, ensure cleanliness and stock levels.
• Take beverage orders from customers and servers; ring in before prep.
• Follow standard drink recipes and proper glassware/portions.
• Adhere to alcohol service laws; do not serve intoxicated guests.
• Balance cash at end of shift and process cash-outs per policy.
• Keep bar, counters and work areas clean at all times.
• Upsell food and beverages to patrons.
• Prepare requisitions and inventories at shift end.
• Lock up products when necessary.

• $1,000 Sign on BONUS! $500 paid 90 days after date of hire $500 paid 180 days after date of hire**

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure the bars are set up for the shift, cleaned and stocked.
• Takes beverage orders from the customers and servers and ensures all drinks are rung in before any are prepared.
• Follows the standard drink recipes, using the proper glassware and portions.
• Adheres to all the laws pertaining to the serving of alcoholic beverages and dealing with guests.
• Intoxicated persons must never be served.
• Balances cash at the end of their shift and follow the standard procedure for cashing out.
• Keeps bar, counters, and work areas clean always.
• Upsells food and beverage to patrons.
• Prepares requisitions and inventories as required at the end of the shift.
• Locks up product when necessary.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have previous serving experience and knowledge that includes:

• High School education or equivalent experience
• Six months experience as a server preferred
• Prior money handling experience preferred
• Ability and willingness to work at both the Central City and Black Hawk properties
• Must be flexible to work any schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• TIPS Certification – We will train you!

Salary $16.27+ tips
