Equipment Room is seeking a Cocktail Server who will surpass guest expectations through various tasks, including taking orders and serving food and beverages in a dining setting.

Equipment Room, located in the Bunkhouse private basement beneath Hotel Magdalena on Music Lane, is an intimate space featuring a unique record collection played on vintage hi-fi equipment. It blends Japanese Jazz Kissa culture with Texas charm, offering a distinctive experience for listening, cocktails, food, and conversation. Equipment Room is part of the Bunkhouse family, a hospitality company renowned for its design, music, and community-driven experiences across various properties in the U.S. and Mexico.

We're looking for:

A server who exceeds guest expectations in a hospitality environment, with responsibilities including taking and serving orders, and engaging with guests professionally.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High School diploma or GED, with at least 6 months of hospitality or service industry experience.
• Proficiency in primary workplace language(s), with effective communication skills.
• Ability to write routine reports and understand computer systems like POS and Property Management Systems.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Job Requirements:

• Adherence to operational standards, policies, and procedures.
• Guest escort, menu presentation, and answering questions, including wine recommendations.
• Checking IDs, describing menu items, and serving food and beverages.
• Handling special guest needs, garnishing dishes, and assisting with food running.
• Monitoring guest satisfaction and managing service times.
• Preparing checks, handling payments, and cleaning tables.
• Food prep, stocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
• Communicating effectively across departments and participating in meetings as needed.

This role may require performing additional tasks as directed, with responsibilities subject to review and revision.

Working Conditions/Environment:

Moderate noise typical of hospitality settings, with physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, moving, and safety awareness.
