Long-term COBOL role with a South Carolina state agency in the Columbia area. Great pay, stable client.

The system is COBOL running under Micro Focus on Windows, with an Oracle database and a .NET front end — not a mainframe shop, though plenty of good people here came from the mainframe world.

You'd be writing and testing code, taking the lead on tickets, working directly with business users on what needs to change, handling production support, and helping guide a small team.

We're looking for a long COBOL career — the deeper the better. Micro Focus experience (Visual COBOL, Enterprise Server, Net Express, AcuCOBOL) is what makes someone a strong fit, and Oracle and team lead experience matter too.
