Location: Remote - PST TIME ZONE

Travel: 3 days per month, hybrid onsite required (expenses covered)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled COBOL AS/400 Programmer to support and enhance mission-critical business applications on the IBM AS/400 (iSeries) platform. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in maintaining legacy systems and ensuring high application performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop & Maintain Applications: Design, develop, and maintain COBOL programs on the AS/400 system.
2. System Analysis: Review business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
3. Testing & Debugging: Conduct unit testing and debug issues to ensure system integrity.
4. System Integration: Collaborate with other teams to integrate and optimize applications.
5. Production Support: Diagnose and resolve issues in live systems efficiently.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation and user manuals.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience with COBOL on IBM AS/400 (iSeries).
• Strong knowledge of DB2, SQL, and JCL.
• Familiarity with AS/400 system architecture and RPC programming.
• Skilled in debugging, maintaining, and improving legacy code.
