Job summary

TrueNet Communications seeks a Coax Splicer to splice, test, and maintain coax cables in both aerial and underground settings (OSP/ISP). You will read engineering drawings, create splicing schematics, and maintain field notes while ensuring safety and project timelines.

Responsibilities include terminating cables, following work orders and cut sheets, and performing on-site testing to verify signal integrity. Strong reading, troubleshooting, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years’ coax splicing experience preferred.
• 1+ years’ MSO/CATV experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow engineering design maps.
• Must have basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• splice/terminate and test OSP/ISP coax cables.
• read and interpret work orders, specs, drawings and cut sheets.
• repair or splice-in new line to complete testing and certification.
• place and install coax cable as needed to complete assignment.
• ground and test system; install passive and active devices as per requirements.
• test Coax/RF lines for continuity and fault; work on underground and aerial lines.
• extend nodes and perform node splits to improve capacity.
