Job summary

Future, a Primoris Company, is seeking a field technician to splice taps, actives, and nodes to exact specifications both inside and outside plant environments. You will prep and dress coax cabling, assemble equipment per design specs, and perform live cut-overs during maintenance hours.

The role requires 1–3 years of coax splicing and testing, strong communication skills, and willingness to work day and night shifts with on-call standby.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of coax splicing and testing.
• Organized, with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment & communicate professionally with co-workers and customers
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Requires a mixture of day and night work.
• Must have a Valid driver’s license
• Be available for 7 day / 24-hour stand by on-call rotation as needed
• Ability and willingness to work long and unpredictable hours if required, including work after normal business hours in the event physical restoration of fiber plant is needed
• Ability to climb up and down ladders and operate a bucket truck is needed
• Willingness to operate within a schedule that is subject to inclement weather conditions

Job Overview

• Ability to troubleshoot damaged coax cable effectively and efficiently.
• Proficient in using coax tools and test equipment including Viavi meter and OTDR.
• Ability to read, understand and update splice documentation and maps as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
