Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking a coating associate to apply protective or decorative finishes to parts, assemblies, and finished products. You will use spray guns and brushes/rollers to coat surfaces with paints, varnishes, enamels, lacquers or stains, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent. You may monitor coating quality according to established processes and assist in surface preparation as needed.

• Coat surfaces with protective or decorative finishes using spray gun.
• Select and mix coating materials; brush or roller for hard-to-reach areas.
