Job summary

Axalta Coating Systems is seeking a Production Operator for the Houston area. You will work in manufacturing areas to meet customer requirements and perform duties across bowl loading, bonding, extrusion and grinding/packing stages.

The role requires at least 2 years in production/manufacturing, the ability to pass a background check and a drug screen, and readiness to work 1st shift with potential overtime. Safety and quality are emphasized in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (Minimum)
• Read, write and speak English
• 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to work on different shifts and overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean, safe work areas and minimizes material spillage
• Strives to achieve all production and quality goals
• Assists maintenance when directed by Shift Leader
• Communicates with all employees to ensure status of products, equipment, quality, etc.
• Provides representative samples to Quality Control in a timely manner
• Maintains accurate logs, records and reports
• Follows all Company policies, practices, and procedures
• Responsible for evaluating equipment and coordinating maintenance as needed
• Alerts Shift Leader promptly to problems
• Cleans equipment between products to prevent cross contamination
• Loads raw materials and operates in multiple areas to meet batch demand
• Monitors/adjusts processes to meet customer specs
• Ensures accurate fill and inventory of materials
