Job summary

Axalta Coating Systems Ltd. in Houston, TX seeks a 1st shift Mixer to support several production areas, loading materials and mixing per batch tickets while maintaining safety and quality.

You will coordinate with the Shift Leader, monitor equipment, keep accurate logs, and prevent cross‑contamination between products, with a focus on timely delivery.

High school diploma required, English proficiency essential, and manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (Minimum).
• Read, write and speak English.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe work areas and minimize spills.
• Strive to achieve all production and quality goals.
• Assist maintenance when directed by Shift Leader.
• Communicate with all employees to ensure status of products and equipment.
• Provide representative samples to Quality Control in a timely manner.
• Maintain logs, records and/or reports.
• Follow all company policies, practices and procedures.
• Evaluate equipment for proper working conditions and request maintenance as needed.
• Alert Shift Leader to any problems.
• Empty dust collectors and ensure environmental permit compliance.
• Clean equipment between products to prevent cross-contamination.
• Coordinate work schedule with systems and materials for timely information delivery.
• Load pre-weighed raw materials into mixing bowls and mix per instructions.
• Maintain material feed to keep extruder running.
• Load pre-weighed base material into a mixer and add materials per ticket.
