Job summary

Axalta Coating Systems in Houston is seeking a Production Operator for the 3rd shift (11:00pm to 7:30am) in the Chemicals, Coatings/manufacturing sector. You will work in multiple production areas, follow safety procedures, and support the Shift Leader and team to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean work areas, minimizing spills, sampling for Quality Control, logging records, coordinating with other shifts, and ensuring proper material handling and equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma (Minimum)
• Read, write and speak English
• 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to work on different shifts and overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean, safe work areas and minimizes material spillage
• Strives to achieve all production and quality goals
• Assists maintenance when directed by Shift Leader
• Communicates with all employees to ensure status of products, equipment, quality, etc.
• Provides representative samples to Quality Control in a timely manner and responds to QC inquiries
• Maintains accurate logs, records and reports
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Responsible for evaluating equipment for proper working conditions and arranging maintenance as needed
