Job summary

AkzoNobel is seeking a Process Engineer to monitor and improve manufacturing processes, driving quality, safety, and cost performance at the site. You will lead cross-functional teams and champion CI initiatives, interfacing with R&D, marketing, and supply chain to industrialize new products and materials.

You will own project scoping, start-up and training during capital projects, with hands-on field involvement and multi-project responsibility across the Powder Plant operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process engineering.
• 3-5 years of CI, Process Engineering or Chemist roles experience; 2-3 years in coatings is preferred.
• Proficiency with SAP and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently yet as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to communicate across business units and levels.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the process performance and drives improvements to quality, HSE, service and cost.
• Leads continuous improvement (CI/ALPS) initiatives and supports capital projects.
• Interfaces with R&D/Marketing/Supply Chain and central engineering for industrialization of new products, raw materials, packaging and recipe changes.
• Communicates across levels, leads teams, and guides non-direct reports.
• Performs pre-project work, scoping and hands over to project group for execution.
