Apogee Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Chemical Plant Operator to safely and efficiently operate coating equipment in our manufacturing facility.

You will follow procedures, monitor reactions, interpret lab results, and correlate instrumentation data to maintain product quality. Responsibilities include starting feeds, regulating flow, observing gauges, and maintaining production logs while ensuring safety and adherence to plant standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with related computer software.
• Ability to read and interpret plant specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operates and controls equipment units that process chemical substances into products.
• Reads plant specifications to ascertain product ingredients and modifications.
• Starts feed of materials and regulates flow through equipment.
• Monitors gauges and records instrument readings to regulate conditions.
• Maintains logs of gauge readings and production activity.
• Directs activities of other workers assisting in process control.
