Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Coatings Inspector II to lead coatings and lining inspections on industrial, water, and infrastructure projects. You will plan hold points, verify surface preparation, application and cure, and sign off at each stage.

You will perform adhesion and holiday tests, write inspection reports, and supervise Level 1 inspectors on larger jobs. The role requires CIP Level 2 and 2+ years of field experience with tank linings and steel coatings.

Qualifications

• AMPP (NACE) CIP Level 2 certification required.
• 2+ years inspecting under CIP Level 2.
• Experience with tank linings, pipelines, or structural coatings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute inspection hold points and testing per specs.
• Verify surface prep, application, and cure with sign-off authority.
• Write inspection and nonconformance reports; supervise Level 1 inspectors.
• Represent the program to owners and applicators.
