Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Coatings Inspector I to perform basic inspection of protective coating work under the direction of a CIP Level 2 or 3 inspector. You will verify surface prep per SSPC/NACE, measure ambient conditions, film thickness, and document every step on tanks, structures, pipe and concrete.

Requirements include AMPP CIP Level 1 (NACE) certification and 1+ year experience in industrial coatings.

Qualifications

• AMPP CIP Level 1 certification current.
• 1+ years in industrial coatings application or inspection.
• Meticulous with instruments and records.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record ambient conditions before and during application.
• Verify surface preparation to SSPC/NACE cleanliness and profile standards.
• Measure wet/dry film thickness and document coatings progress.
• Maintain daily inspection log and photograph each stage of work.
