Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Coatings Inspector I to perform basic inspections under a CIP Level 2/3 supervisor. You will verify surface prep, measure ambient conditions, film thickness, and document every step on tanks, structures, pipe, and concrete.

Prerequisites include AMPP CIP Level 1 certification and 1+ years in coatings work. Project work may involve tanks and blasting areas with logging duties throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• AMPP CIP Level 1 certification current.
• 1+ years in industrial coatings application or inspection.
• Comfortable working around blasting and spray operations.

Responsibilities

• Measure ambient conditions before and during application.
• Verify surface preparation to SSPC/NACE standards.
• Measure wet and dry film thickness and check for holidays.
• Document coating process and maintain daily inspection logs.
