Job summary

NIC Global is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own and improve coatings and finishing processes across locations in Tennessee. You will define standard work, process specs, and performance metrics, working with Maintenance, Quality, and IT/OT to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable finishing operations.

The role emphasizes environmental compliance oversight, supplier coordination for outsourced coatings, and cross-functional problem solving using lean methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in a related field from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in coatings, finishing, or chemical treatment processes within a manufacturing environment preferred; exceptional recent graduates will be considered.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing background; Six Sigma certification helpful.
• Strong analytical, communication, and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Owns the technical process design, standardization, and continuous improvement of coatings/finishing processes across NIC Global locations.
• Defines process performance metrics (throughput, first-pass yield, rework, scrap, downtime) and dashboards to communicate trends.
• Leads cross-functional collaboration with Maintenance, Supply Chain, and IT/OT for process excellence and compliant operations.
