• Travel domestically and internationally (15–20%) for factory implementations and meetings.

We work with some of the biggest brands in the consumer electronics and automotive industries to increase product reliability and improve product performance in wet and humid conditions. ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a Coatings Engineer I/II in Malden, MA to own application development and dispense process optimization for customer applications across key global accounts. Serving as the in-house technical hub, this role will bridge lab evaluation and field execution to support our field‑deployed engineering team.

A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline is required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Level I: 0–2 years of relevant experience; strong foundational knowledge in wet chemistry, fluids, or materials application.

Level II: 2–5 years of hands‑on industry experience; proven track record in process development, design of experiments (DOE), and technical support for manufacturing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work independently in the lab to execute technical evaluations, design experiments, and optimize dispense parameters, including spray, needle, jetting, and film applications.
• Analyze trial data, perform failure analysis, and author technical reports and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Partner with sales and field technical teams to manage sample workflows, support line trials, and participate in customer calls.
• Communicate results internally and engage directly with customers regarding product capabilities.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with key technical contacts and decision‑makers at customer accounts.
• Participate in domestic and international travel (15–20%) for customer factory implementations and technical meetings.

This position is based in Malden, MA and is accessible via the Orange Line.
