Job summary

Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. is seeking a laborator y-focused professional to support customer projects, prepare paint panels, and document results. You will work under supervision, correlate customer data, and maintain accurate records while applying coatings knowledge to drive solutions.

Role requires hands-on lab activities, communication with chemists, and readiness to travel as needed. Proficiency with Office tools and a methodical approach to testing is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or other science field with 2 years relevant experience.
• Willing and able to travel and work overtime as required.
• Strong work ethic, able to work well with minimal supervision.
• Adapts well to priority shifts.

Responsibilities

• Technical Skills: Requires general understanding of formula raw materials and the functional role of each component; contributes ideas for problem solving and may have occasional direct customer contact.
• Application Knowledge: Uses hand-spray equipment to generate test panels; learns customer methods and strives for consistent spray correlation with guidance.
• Communication: Communicates technical results to chemists and management; writes detailed lab reports and maintains lab notebooks; proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Customer Focus: Travel with NPAA personnel to support customer needs; adjust schedules to meet expectations and timelines.
• Business Process: Use SAP and related processes to move tasks forward; manage documentation and compliance; move waste per procedures.
