Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. is seeking a customer-focused lab professional to support paint and panel preparation, correlate customer data, maintain records, and provide product support under supervisor guidance.

The role emphasizes understanding coatings chemistry, using analytical tools, and effective communication with chemists and field staff. Occasional travel may be required to support customer needs and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or other science field with 2 years relevant experience.
• Willing and able to travel and work overtime as required.
• Strong work ethic, able to work well with minimal supervision.
• Adapts well to priority shifts.

Responsabilités

• Technical skills: understand formula raw materials and components; analyze results with supervisor and propose path forward; assist with internal and external problem solving.
• Application knowledge: operate hand-spray equipment to generate test panels; learn customer application methods and spray concepts; adjust product settings to improve workability under guidance.
• Communication skills: convey technical results to chemists and management; write detailed lab reports and maintain lab notebooks; proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Customer focus: travel with NPAA personnel to support customer needs; adjust schedules to meet customer expectations; relay results to Field Technical Service.
• Business process: follow SAP, AS/400, EDS, Lab Notebooks, and other NPAA processes; ensure tasks move forward on time.
• Move waste from generation to storage area and properly label containers.
