Job summary

ITW in Chicago Heights is seeking a Coater Operator responsible for setup, operation, and changeover of coating equipment to apply adhesives, coatings, or chemical solutions to film and other substrates. You will monitor processes, adjust parameters, and ensure adherence to SOPs to support safe, efficient production and product performance.

Collaborating with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Materials, you will help maintain 5S standards, perform quality checks, document production data,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1–3 years of manufacturing, coating, painting, or chemical processing experience.
Ability to read work instructions, follow formulas, and complete production documentation.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and changeover coating equipment per work orders and specifications.
Load materials, fill tanks with coatings or chemical mixtures, and prepare equipment for production runs.
Adjust and control machine parameters including speed, temperature, pressure, air flow, and coating application settings.
Monitor machine performance to maintain efficient production and minimize downtime.
Record production data and perform quality checks to ensure adherence to specs.
