Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Coating Assistant to support our Sustainable & Adhesive Solutions function. This role will set up and operate coating machines, applying adhesive to release liners and substrates, and manage the wet or dry ends of the machine while maintaining a clean room environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, fluency in English, and mechanical aptitude with ability to use measuring devices.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Fluency in English both verbal and written, basic math and reading skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to accurately use all measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate coating machines, applying adhesive to release liners and substrates.
• Prepare raw materials and perform material handling with equipment.
• Enter job data into the computer system and ensure inventory accuracy for each job.
• Capably operate both the wet and dry ends of the coater, including changeovers and simple maintenance.
• Maintain a clean room appearance and follow safety lifting practices.
• Assist coating team to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency; communicate shift activities during handoffs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and participate in continuous improvement programs.
