Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Coating Team Manager to lead a night shift on-site in Indiana. You will drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost controls while meeting customer expectations. The role emphasizes coaching and developing a diverse team and advancing process improvements.

The position requires strong leadership in manufacturing, adherence to SOPs, and active participation in Enterprise Lean Sigma initiatives and safety programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and a minimum of 3 years leadership, process improvement and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, support and develop a diverse team of talent.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations systems and ability to achieve operational results through delegation and teamwork.
• Familiarization with ELS (Continuous Improvement) principles and lean sigma tools.
• Demonstrated ability to promote Avery Dennison Values of Integrity, Courage, External Focus, Diversity, Sustainability, Innovation, Teamwork and Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety as the most important value and lead safety training and investigations.
• Provide leadership for the shift to meet safety, service, quality, productivity, cost, and inventory targets.
• Drive operational improvements to promote safety, engagement, quality, and productivity.
• Ensure SOPs, standard work, quality standards, cycle counts, and audits are followed; troubleshoot process equipment.
• Oversee daily activities, conduct performance reviews, and support Lean Sigma initiatives.
