Job summary

Wolverine Advanced Materials is seeking a Coating Line Team Lead to guide a production team on the coating line. You will ensure safety, quality, and delivery targets while coordinating daily activities and training teammates on standardized work.

This hands-on role requires machine operation, attendance tracking, line communication, and collaboration with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime and maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Basic computer use to access production information.
• Experience operating coating line equipment or similar machinery.
• Able to read simple instructions and keep basic records.
• Willingness to lead and train others on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coating line team during assigned shift to meet safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets.
• Conduct attendance roll call and inform supervisor of absences.
• Review production boards to communicate priorities and concerns.
• Coordinate and operate coating line equipment per standardized work.
• Relieve teammates as needed and support cross-training.
• Develop and maintain standardized work instructions with the supervisor.
• Train team members on safety, quality and delivery processes.
• Maintain training records and track cross-training progress.
• Audit work to ensure safety and output compliance; escalate as needed.
• Monitor line performance and product quality; collaborate with support teams.
• Promote safe work practices and PPE compliance.
• Assist in problem-solving and root-cause analysis on the floor.
• Participate in on-job trainings and share best practices.
• Use basic computer systems to access instructions and boards.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality and other teams to minimize downtime.
