Job summary

Internetwork Expert is seeking a seasoned Coating Inspector to oversee coating works on Department waterworks, bridges, and flood control projects. The candidate will verify surface preparation, film thickness, adhesion testing, and related practices per contract requirements.

Responsibilities include preparing inspection reports, responding to inquiries, and maintaining strong coordination with Department staff. SSPC/NACE Level 2 or 3 certs and Cal/OSHA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have SSPC & NACE Level 2 or 3 certs with significant experience.
• Familiar with coating inspection practices, surface prep, thickness measurements, adhesion testing.
• Knowledge of Cal/OSHA Construction Safety Orders and regs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare inspection reports.
• Inspect coating works and related practices per contract documents.
• Oversee surface preparation, film thickness, protection of surfaces, adhesion testing, spark testing, instrument verification.
• Respond to inquiries from public, officials, agencies, and project staff.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Department staff.
