Job summary

Pregis is seeking a coater operator for our Aurora, IL facility’s night shift. The role requires standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and following strict safety and quality protocols.

You will monitor coating processes, verify materials, and communicate shifts with the team to ensure smooth changeovers and optimal production. The position supports a fast-paced manufacturing line with a strong emphasis on accuracy, paperwork, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Manufacturing or Quality environment preferred.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; ability to lift 50 pounds and endure elevated temperatures.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; basic math skills.
• Education: High School Diploma or credentialed equivalent in English & Mathematics.
• Possess or learn the ability to operate Forklift, Cranes, Floor Jacks, Saws, Knives.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and work rules.
• Review preceding shift operations, problems, status, orders, etc. with the prior operator.
• Ensure correct film, adhesive, run conditions; inspect materials.
• Prepare for changeovers to minimize downtime.
• Complete all paperwork; report defects and issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist other plant personnel as needed.
• Inform supervisor if an order cannot be completed.
• Maintain and report equipment issues.
