Job summary

Pregis is seeking a Production Operator to safely and efficiently run the production line, meet quality standards, and minimize waste. You will perform quality checks, document results, and assist team members to maintain smooth operations.

The role requires prior manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate forklifts and read tape measures. It involves 12‑hour shifts in a non‑exempt, hourly position within an indoor, high‑temperature environment.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing or similar experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude required.
• Good mathematical skills required.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other power industrial vehicles in a safe and effective manner.
• Ability to read a tape measure and document quality readings.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and guidelines in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the production line for various products, meeting production rates and customer specs.
• Assist with material staging and line housekeeping to minimize downtime.
• Operate core cutting machine and pallet jack as needed.
• Conduct quality checks and record data accurately.
• Provide mentorship to Assistant Operator and Production Utility Worker where applicable.
• Maintain safe work practices and report hazards or incidents promptly.
