Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Coastal Project Manager to lead our Charleston, SC team. You will oversee coastal design projects, perform risk assessments, and coordinate with clients and engineers to deliver protection measures like seawalls and living shorelines.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in coastal engineering, PE licensure in SC or eligible, and strong communication. Hybrid work setup and a robust benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of coastal engineering/design experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience preparing construction plans and specifications.
• Proficiency with coastal modeling software including MIKE, Delft3D, SWAN, CMS or ADCIRC.
• P.E. license in SC or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee risk assessment for coastal projects against hazards like hurricanes and sea level rise.
• Perform hydrodynamic and wave modeling to analyze water bodies.
• Evaluate coastal structures and design protection measures.
• Lead client meetings and coordination with design teams, agencies and contractors.
• Support site visits and manage junior staff in coastal engineering.
