Job summary

Geosyntec is seeking a Senior Waterfront or Coastal Professional to support our growing coastal engineering, restoration, and waterfront practice. The role is based in Mount Pleasant, SC, with work on marina facilities, coastal restoration, climate adaptation, and urban waterfront projects.

The candidate will lead projects, mentor staff, coordinate with clients and regulators, and travel as needed. A strong background in coastal/waterfront engineering and excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, coastal, or environmental engineering (required).
• Advanced degree in the same (preferred).
• Professional registration (e.g., EIT or PE) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop business and manage clients and projects in coastal projects including beach nourishment, shoreline stabilization, dredging, environmental restoration and mitigation.
• Task and project management, budgeting, schedule adherence, and profitability.
• Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of waterfront and coastal engineering work in marine projects.
• Mentor junior staff and manage subcontractors.
• Develop work plans, evaluate data, and prepare reports.
